A sprawling oceanfront mansion in Hillsboro Beach has just changed hands for a cool $42 million, marking the priciest residential deal in this tiny, affluent enclave since 2018. The property, located on the famed stretch known as Millionaires' Mile, closed last week, according to public records. The buyer and seller were both represented by private brokers, and neither party has been publicly identified.
The estate sits on nearly 1.5 acres of direct beachfront land, a rarity in this part of Broward County where lots are typically narrow and tightly packed. The main house spans over 12,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms, nine full baths, and a pair of half baths. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls open to a wide terrace that runs the length of the home, offering unobstructed views of the Atlantic. There is also a separate guest house, a 60-foot infinity pool, a private dock with deep-water access, and a climate-controlled garage that holds six cars.
Hillsboro Beach is a quiet, gated community of just over 2,000 residents, and it has long drawn buyers looking for seclusion rather than the party scene of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. The last time a home sold for more than this was in 2018, when a neighboring estate went for $45 million. Real estate agents familiar with the area say the sale signals continued strength at the very top of the market, even as interest rates have cooled activity elsewhere. The new owner takes possession immediately, with no major renovations planned.
