Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis has put his sprawling Los Angeles estate on the market for $32 million, adding his name to a growing list of NBA players cashing in on luxury real estate. The 12,000-square-foot property, located in the upscale Westlake Village area, features seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a home theater, a wine cellar, and an infinity pool overlooking the Santa Monica Mountains. Davis purchased the home in 2020 for around $24 million, meaning he stands to make a tidy profit if the sale goes through near his asking price.
Davis is not alone in this trend. Nicolas Batum, who recently signed with the L.A. Clippers, also sold his home in the area, unloading a modern hillside property for just under $8 million. Meanwhile, newly minted Philadelphia 76er Jaylen Brown is listing his Boston-area residence. Brown, who was traded from the Celtics in a blockbuster deal, is asking $4.5 million for his four-bedroom condo in the city's Seaport District. The moves suggest that NBA players are increasingly treating real estate as a key part of their financial portfolios, often buying and selling based on team changes or market timing. For Davis, the listing comes as he prepares for another season with the Lakers, though rumors have swirled about his long-term future in Los Angeles. Whether the sale signals a potential move or simply a smart investment play, it is clear that the league's top earners are paying close attention to the housing market.
