Geoffrey Palachuk has joined DLA Piper as a partner in the firm's real estate practice, based in its Seattle office. The firm made the announcement on Thursday, adding a seasoned attorney to its West Coast team.
Palachuk brings more than two decades of experience in complex real estate transactions, with a focus on acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing. His practice also covers financing and joint ventures, particularly for large-scale commercial and mixed-use projects. Before moving to DLA Piper, he was a partner at another major law firm in the region, where he represented developers, investors, and financial institutions.
The hire comes as DLA Piper continues to strengthen its real estate capabilities in the Pacific Northwest, a market that has seen steady demand for legal support in property development and investment. Palachuk's arrival is expected to bolster the firm's ability to handle high-value deals and cross-border matters for clients in the technology, hospitality, and retail sectors.
In a statement, DLA Piper noted that Palachuk's experience aligns with the firm's strategy to grow its transactional practices in key urban markets. His work is likely to complement existing teams in Seattle and other offices along the West Coast, providing deeper coverage for clients navigating a shifting real estate landscape.
