One of Cincinnati's largest real estate firms, Sibcy Cline, has purchased an Indiana brokerage, marking a significant move into the neighboring state's housing market. The acquisition strengthens the company's footprint beyond Ohio, where it already holds a dominant position. According to recent industry rankings, Sibcy Cline is the second-largest real estate firm in the Cincinnati area based on net local home sales volume, trailing only Comey & Shepherd.
The deal, finalized this week, brings a team of agents and support staff from the Indiana brokerage under Sibcy Cline's brand. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquired firm had been operating in southeastern Indiana, a region that sees steady commuter traffic from Cincinnati suburbs. Sibcy Cline's leadership said the move aligns with long-term growth plans and responds to client demand for seamless service across state lines.
Industry observers note that the acquisition reflects a broader trend of mid-sized regional firms consolidating to compete with national franchises. Sibcy Cline, which has over 20 offices in Ohio, Kentucky, and now Indiana, has been expanding through strategic purchases in recent years. The company's president emphasized that the Indiana team would retain local expertise while gaining access to Sibcy Cline's marketing and technology resources. No immediate changes to staffing or office locations were announced.
