A Chicago-based real estate company has moved into the Cincinnati market, hiring an experienced professional to lead its multifamily operations in the region.
The firm said the new hire brings deep knowledge of the Greater Cincinnati apartment sector, including familiarity with local neighborhoods, property performance and the relationships that drive deals in the area. The appointment marks the company's first permanent presence in southwest Ohio.
Executives described the expansion as a natural step. Cincinnati has drawn attention from out-of-state investors in recent years for its relatively steady rents, diverse employment base and pipeline of apartment construction. The firm said it sees room to grow in both acquisitions and management.
The new regional lead will focus on sourcing multifamily properties, overseeing day-to-day operations and building ties with local owners, brokers and developers. The company plans to add staff as its portfolio in the region grows.
Local observers said the entry of another out-of-market buyer signals continued confidence in Cincinnati's rental market, even as financing costs and supply concerns have slowed activity in some other metros. The firm did not disclose specific investment targets or a timeline for its first local acquisition.
